Johnson Controls wins approximately $188 million Main Roads WA contract
AUSTRALIA – (Oct. 3, 2018) – Johnson Controls is further extending its reach into Western Australia following the announcement it has won the approximately $188 million Main Roads WA State-wide Electrical Infrastructure Services contract. Johnson Controls Transportation and Integrated Controls, in conjunction with Ventia through Venture Smart Pty Ltd, will deliver asset management, infrastructure design and construction services across Western Australia’s entire road network.
Leveraging extensive global and local experience in design and implementation of urban traffic control (UTC) and intelligent transport systems (ITS) and ongoing management of those assets, Venture Smart will deliver a range of planned and fast response maintenance services to ensure the electrical roadway assets across Western Australia operate at peak performance.

The State-wide Electrical Infrastructure Services contract represents a significant cornerstone win for Johnson Controls, which secured the project based on its extensive experience in delivering similar road network projects across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland and is a significant road infrastructure investment commitment.

The WA Roads contract was awarded to Venture Smart Pty Ltd in a five-year contract, valued at approximately $188 million, to commence in October 2018.
