How long have you been in Johnson Controls?
I joined Johnson Controls in October 2012, as HR Team Assistant and moved across a few different HR roles to become the Country Lead in 2017.
What is your background (education and previous places of employment and roles)?
I hold a Bachelor of Business, Masters in Business Management & Diploma in Human Resources. I began my career in hospitality, moving into administration and ending up in Human Resources with Johnson Controls. Throughout my career I have worked for Jupiter’s Casino Gold Coast, Quay West Hotels Sydney, Macquarie University and Oracle before joining Johnson Controls.
What is your core responsibility in the business?
In my role I am responsible for overseeing all HR functions for Johnson Controls Australia. The HR team consists of 2 HR Generalists and 1 Recruitment Coordinator. My focus is to ensure the direction and strategies within Human Resources align with the overall organisational goals and objectives of Johnson Controls. From management of employee satisfaction and productivity, to ensuring that the workplace is always running efficiently.
What do you enjoy about working at Johnson Controls?
Johnson Controls has a culture which fosters teamwork and loyalty. Although everyone is busy focusing on their day to day responsibilities, we all pull together to support each other. It is a fascinating industry and Johnson Controls is such a diverse company, every day is different. I am constantly learning new things, which keeps me challenged and these are the reasons I enjoy working for Johnson Controls.
